Mission 10X is a platform that unifies the efforts of Dutch institutions and organizations working towards energy efficient (green) computing. It can be considered as an umbrella platform that collects the activities of the different partners, at the same time that acts as a catalyst for joint activities.
Our joint ambition
… is to develop breakthrough solutions and novel technologies that are necessary to drastically reduce the power consumption and CO2 emission of ICT. The 10-X in Mission 10-X refers to 10X. We believe that by developing the right hardware and software solutions, it is possible to reduce power consumption by a factor of 104 (10000 times less) or more.
The Mission 10-X webpages will gather all initiatives, events and news that take place in NL around this topic. This will help show cohesion and synergy and will make it easier for politicians and companies to make contact with the academics. It will also show what is going on in NL to foreign institutions and EU policymakers. The visual identity should communicate our mission and the goal of making computing significantly more energy-efficient while maintaining a balance between all participating universities.
